Question 1

What is the difference between bulk and bagged landscaping products?

Accepted Answer

Bulk landscaping products are loose materials loaded directly into a customer’s truck or trailer, or delivered by dump truck. Bagged landscaping products are delivered in a convenient cubic yard bag, making them ideal for residential projects that require cleaner placement and easier access.

Question 2

Is there a delivery fee for bagged landscaping products?

Accepted Answer

Bag delivery is free within Salt Lake County and can be ordered online. This includes deliveries to Salt Lake City, South Jordan, Murray, Sandy, West Jordan, West Valley, and most of Draper. For areas outside Salt Lake County, an additional delivery fee may apply depending on the location.

Question 3

Is there a delivery fee for bulk landscaping materials?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Delivery fees for bulk landscaping materials depend on the quantity ordered, which determines the truck size, and the delivery location. Customers should contact the company to calculate the exact delivery fee.

Question 4

When will my bagged order be delivered?

Accepted Answer

Bagged landscaping product orders are typically delivered within 3–5 business days after the order is placed. Customers are usually contacted the day before delivery to confirm the delivery timing.

Question 5

Are there any limitations for bagged deliveries?

Accepted Answer

For safety and property protection, deliveries cannot drive over grass or landscaping and cubic yard bags cannot be placed over fences. All deliveries must be accessible from a paved or gravel surface with clear access for equipment.

Question 6

Are there areas that The Dirt Bag does not deliver to?

Accepted Answer

Bulk landscaping products are delivered to Eagle Mountain, but bag deliveries are not available there. Bag deliveries are also not available in canyon locations due to access and safety limitations.

Question 7

How much does one cubic yard of material cover?

Accepted Answer

One cubic yard of soil, mulch, or decorative rock covers approximately a 10 by 10 foot area at a depth of about 3 inches, or roughly 100 square feet. Coverage may vary depending on the material and depth used.

Question 8

How much landscaping product can fit in my truck?

Accepted Answer

Weight limits vary depending on the vehicle. Most full-size truck beds can typically hold up to two cubic yards of bulk landscaping materials, but customers should always check their vehicle’s owner manual before loading.
